Ed Byrne: Spoiler Alert 29/05/2018 - 29/05/2018 Grand Hall
I originally intended to call the show, “I’ll Millennial You in a Minute”, but my promoter considered the title, “off-puttingly baffling”. That’s my own chainsaw in the photo, by the way.
Is life that bad or have we good reason to complain about it? Are we filled with righteous anger at a world gone wrong or are we all just a bunch of whiny little brats? In short, are we spoiled? Come and watch as Byrne takes this question, turns it upside down and shakes it until the funny falls out. Go on, spoil yourself.
‘Comedy’s Holy Grail. Go See!’ Sunday Times

Recognized as one of the finest observational comics in the industry, Ed’s television credits are countless (provided you’re really bad at counting); Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show, Live At The Apollo, The One Show, Comic Relief Bake Off 2015, The World’s Most Dangerous Roads and, most recently, he and Dara O Briain filmed the follow up their Big Adventure show for BBC2 entitled Dara and Ed’s Road to Mandalay

Sara Sheridan: An insider’s guide: narrative drive and how it will get your book published
This seminar is aimed at people who are writing with a view to publication and will focus clearly on what editors are looking for, how to diagnose manuscript faults and give tips on the key issues to demystify the process of how the industry works - it also takes in some publicity advice. It is very much focussed on communicating your story to readers (readers, that is, you don’t know!).
Sara Sheridan writes the popular Mirabelle Bevan Murder Mysteries set in 1950s Brighton as well as historical novels set in 1820-1845. Fascinated particularly by female history, she is a cultural commentator who appears regularly on television and radio. Fred MacAulay 30 Years On 22/09/2018 - 22/09/2018 Cumnock Town Hall
“30 YEARS ON”

On the 19th May 1988, a young(ish) Fred MacAulay made his stand-up debut at the Mayfest ‘So You Think You’re Funny” competition in Glasgow with 5 minutes of his own comedy material.

Much of what Fred talked about that night was about his (VERY) young family coupled with his wry observations about society and politics. These are themes which fans of Fred will be familiar with. His observations have led him to success on television and radio , as well as on the live circuit and at Festivals far and wide.

People will know Fred from QI, Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week on television, as well as Radio 4’s Newsquiz, Unbelievable Truth and Just A Minute….as well as his 2017 stand up show “Fred at the Stand”.

To celebrate his 30 years of stand-up, Fred is touring Scotland with his “30 YEARS ON” tour.

His 2017 stand-up shows were legendary and in many reviews the shows were described simply as “A Masterclass”.

THEY’RE BACK! The tan has barely faded from Agnes and Sadie’s thick skin and they’re in trouble again, and left lip-synching for their lives.

Missing money, an unlucky handbag and nutcase gangsters are just a few of the disasters they’ll have to dodge as the Dolls are dragged through a glittering underworld filled with rivalries, rhinestones and rammies on a camp, crazy, gusset drenching adventure of queen sized proportions!

Mistaken identities and secret disguises abound in this highly anticipated sequel. Will the gallus gals be able to keep up with who’s who?
Will long brewing family resentments be resolved? Will The Dolls solve the mystery of the missing dug and most importantly, will their dormant 1980’s disco dancing skills save them from The McKray twins, Scotland’s fruitiest, nuttiest gangsters?

The Autumn Tour
Sleeping Beauty 24/11/2018 - 29/12/2018 Palace Theatre
With last year’s Dick Whittington being described as having “all the ingredients for a great Christmas night out” (Kilmarnock Standard) The Palace Theatre are planning another spectacular panto with the magical tale of Sleeping Beauty.

The show will star River City’s LEAH MACRAE as Fairy Flutterby, and back by popular demand are FRASER BOYLE as Nurse Senga and GARY MORRISON as Hilarious Hector.

As a result of a curse from the evil Carabosse, Princess Beauty pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and falls in to an enchanted sleep. Will Nurse Senga, Hector and the dashing Prince Lorenzo be able to save her before the hundred years are up and the Princess’ fate is sealed?

Once again the show will have all the ingredients for a magical family panto with spectacular sets and costumes, fabulous songs and dances and bags of slapstick fun!

Concession tickets are available to those under 16, students, in receipt of the state pension, or registered disabled. Other concessions maybe available (such as family tickets) but must be purchased through the Box Office directly either in person or over the phone.

Thank you,
