i-DANCE, the Palace Theatre’s resident integrated company, make a welcome return to the stage with not one, but three world premieres!

A remarkable company of dancers who have, working alongside choreographers and artists, developed an accomplished and thrilling body of new work. The dancers’ ability to embrace dance in meaningful ways is reflected in their successful performances on various platforms and stages across the region, surprising and enthralling audiences.

The programme will explore a gentler more compassionate view of how the world could be, in stark contrast to aggressive and divisive forms of rule. The company welcome from France renowned choreographer, Angus Balbernie to create a specially commissioned new piece for i-DANCE, in collaboration with costume artist Myra Ostacchini. To complete the programme a duet from the unique Touchdown Dance, directed by Angus, which features extraordinary dancer, Stuart Jackson who is autistic and blind.

“i-DANCE’s 2015 work,” Mirrors in the Mirror” is an honest expression of the challenges faced by us all when we search to find who we are and where our place is in the world, providing insightful interpretation through beautifully choreographed movement and sound. It is a thoughtful and moving piece.” - Audience Member
