SRC - Filming Workshop @ Burns House Museum
Summer Reading Challenge
Filming Workshop (Pilot)
£15 for 1.5 days (Thursday 4th July 1.30pm – 4.30pm & Friday 5th July 10.30 am – 3.30pm)
Ages 8 – 14yrs
A fun one and a half days in your local library creating your own short film! All of this year’s short films will have a ‘space’ theme matching this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme.
During our first half day session everyone will be encouraged to create their own storyboard and script for their movie – examining how camera angles and lighting can change a scene. Then, in groups, one project will be selected for the group to film on the second day.
On the second day children will film their projects, using a variety of techniques including stop-motion, and edit their final footage in I-Movie. All projects will be shared onto social media showing the work from all of the groups from the work shop.
Please note that children must bring a snack, drink, lunch etc on the second day. Also all finished projects will be shared on social media (Facebook, etc ) and this may contain footage of your child.
