This production is based on 292 “her stories”- former patients and staff of the renowned Samaritans Women’s Hospital in Govanhill, which was the destination for thousands of women with “wummin troubles” for a hundred years until its closure in 1992.
Set in 1982, against the political backdrop of Margaret Thatcher, it mirrors the stories of three Glasgow women sorting out their own government, with the added backdrop of a great 80s soundtrack. The story explores women’s care and welfare throughout the decades, its journey from then until now.
A hilarious yet thought provoking show about women and their welfare, post and pre-natal, hysterectomies to the change and everything in between. Packed with one-liners and charged with tears and laughter.

“Tears and laughter throughout. A testament to women. Fabulous show” The Herald and Evening Times
“I laughed and cried from start to finish. It gave us women a voice” Stirling Observer
“A great girls night out” Southside Fringe
“These tough stories were given a voice and what we had to put up with. I laughed and cried all the way” Audience member
